The Alma Street Veterinary Hospital has been a part of Rockhampton for many years now.
Originally operated by Dr Tom McLaughlin, it was bought by Dr Greg Muir in 1997. Since then the practice has expanded rapidly and as a result, the small original practice was outgrown.
 In 2004, a new premises was built on the same site, and the surgery and facilities were upgraded to become a veterinary hospital.
Alma Street Veterinary Hospital now employs 4 Veterinarians and 7 support staff to help them through their busy days.

Our Services
At Alma Street, we have a full range of facilities to assist in the treatment of your pet. These include;
» X-ray facilities
» Surgical equipment and designated operating theatre
» Ultrasound
» Dental equipment
» Anaesthesia equipment including breathing monitors and heart rate monitors
» ECG (Electrocardiogram)
» Fluid pumps
» Pathology - both in the hospital, and sent away to a veterinary lab in Brisbane
» Pharmacy for drugs such as antibiotics
» Seperate cat and dog wards
» Dog runs for large dogs
» Lawn for walking dogs
